Terms of Use

Terms of Use

1. Purpose

These Terms of Use define the recommendations and best practices to ensure optimal use of the VITIROVER robot within the framework of ecological maintenance of vegetated areas.

2. General Operating Conditions

2.1. Suitable Environment

The VITIROVER robot is designed to operate on specific types of terrain. To ensure proper functioning, the following criteria must be respected:

  • Maximum permitted slope: 15%
  • Recommended grass height before operation: <20 cm
  • Absence of unmarked obstacles (electric cables, low branches, debris, iron pieces, stones that could damage the blades, etc.)
  • Stabilized soil, free of holes or deep ruts that could block the robot
  • Enclosed or secured area to prevent intrusion by large animals (e.g., cattle, horses, etc.)
  • Good GPS and cellular reception: avoid heavily wooded areas, deep valleys, or dense environments that may disrupt the signal
  • Absence of electromagnetic interference

2.2. Weather Conditions

The robot can operate under various weather conditions; however, certain precautions must be observed:

  • Recommended shutdown in case of prolonged heavy rainfall (>30 mm/day)
  • Operating temperature: 5°C to 35°C (while in use). The robot must be stored in an environment between 0°C and 35°C when not in service
  • Mandatory shutdown in case of frost to protect electronic components
  • Protection against storms and strong winds that could move or damage the robot
  • Presence of water on the ground: puddles must not exceed 40 mm in depth to avoid any risk of malfunction

3. Use and Maintenance

3.1. Start-up and Supervision

  • Check the battery before starting the robot
  • Manual start-up and start-up via the VitiCloud interface
  • For optimal use, it is recommended not to exceed one hectare per plot in VitiCloud and to adapt the plot size to the actual field conditions
  • Monitor the first operating cycle to ensure proper functionality
  • Perform a visual inspection of the robot before each start-up

3.2. Regular Maintenance

Regular maintenance is required to ensure optimal performance:

  • Weekly:
    • Clean sensors, cameras, and solar panel
    • Check for any obstructions on wheels and blades
    • Inspect blade wear and replace if necessary
  • Monthly:
    • Check battery charge level and condition
  • Annual (Winter Storage):
    • Deep cleaning of the robot
    • Technical diagnostics and software updates
    • Store in a dry, frost-free location
    • The battery must be stored separately from the robot and charged

Warning: The use of high-pressure washers or water jets is strictly prohibited

4. Use of the VitiCloud Platform

4.1. Remote Supervision

  • Real-time monitoring of robot status
  • Configuration of mowing zones and schedule management
  • Alerts in case of malfunction or unexpected shutdown

4.1. Remote Control

  • Possibility of restarting and recalibrating remotely
  • Technical assistance available via hotline if needed

5. Limitations and Liabilities

5.1. Cases Not Covered by Warranty

  • Use outside of the recommended conditions
  • Lack of regular maintenance and non-compliance with maintenance instructions
  • Damage caused by shocks or improper handling
  • Unauthorized interventions or modifications of the robot by third parties
  • Changes in GPS and cellular reception conditions after installation of the robot on the client’s site
  • Installation of non-approved components on the robot (blades, batteries, etc.)
  • Although the robot is equipped with a GPS tracker, Vitirover cannot be held responsible in the event of loss or theft

5.2. User Obligations

The user agrees to:

  • Comply with all safety and maintenance instructions
  • Respect the insertion direction of the robot into the charging station, whether solar-powered or not, in accordance with the instructions provided during installation by the Vitirover teams. This insertion direction, essential for proper charging operation, is also visible on the VitiCloud interface. Any incorrect positioning may result in malfunction or damage to the equipment, for which Vitirover cannot be held responsible.
  • Provide electrical power to the charging station using a waterproof socket compliant with at least IP65 standards and providing 230V/16A power
  • Notify technical support in case of abnormal malfunction
  • Not attempt to open or modify the robot without the manufacturer’s approval (any opening of the robot will void the warranty)
(Any opening of the robot will void the warranty)
  • Verify adequate GPS and cellular reception on the site before installation
  • Keep the original packaging of the robot and charging station, as it is required in case of return to the workshop. If the customer is unable to provide the original packaging, Vitirover will invoice for replacement packaging and transportation to the client’s site. The use of any packaging other than that certified by Vitirover is strictly prohibited
  • Keep the key granting access to the battery compartment. Any request for a replacement key will be subject to a fee
